Next Step Autism Program

Fraser Valley Child Development Centre

The Next Step Autism Program is a branch of the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre providing an umbrella of services to children with autism (autism spectrum disorder - ASD). The program is a fee for service which parents and caregivers pay for the program with the Autism funding that they receive from the provincial government for that purpose.

Program Information

The Next Step Autism program provides individualized services to children birth to age 6 and innovative social skills groups for children over the age of 6.

A multi-disciplinary team assesses and improves core skill development in that areas of communication, self help, sensory processing, fine and gross motor ability and school readiness in the under 6 program.

Social skills groups are designed to learn age appropriate social skills such as turn taking, inviting others to play, play ground etiquette, reading body language while fostering fun and friendships.

The Fraser Valley Child Development Centre is open Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30
